Regional visits continue

The working group led by the Chairman of the Forest Committee, Vladimir Kirakosyan, met with the heads of the “Forestry” branches of the Forestry Committee “Hayantar” SNCO, the deputy directors for conservation and the forest chiefs of the Forestry Committee.

The focus of the meetings, as in the case of the visit to Lori region, was the organization of the activities of the forest fire fighting working group created by the Prime Minister’s decision and their proper implementation.

During the meeting, issues related to monitoring of possible forest fire situations, prevention of fires and assessment of necessary capacities, quick response, fighting against fires, measures aimed at preventing the spread of their consequences were discussed.

Forestry employees presented the current works (forestation, reforestation) and existing problems to the committee and the leadership of “Hayantar” SNCO. Possible solutions were proposed.

The preliminary plans of the works to be performed in 2024 were presented.

In order to prevent the risks of fires due to high temperature and to avoid unforeseen consequences, it was ordered to carry out enhanced surveillance and strictly observe the fire prevention rules.

The chairman of the Forest Committee urged to clearly observe the specified schedules while carrying out the current works, to ensure a high efficiency index.
