The working group led by the Chairman of the Forest Committee Vladimir Kirakosyan, within the framework of the visit to Lori region, met with the employees of the “Stepanavan Forestry” branch of the “Hayantar” SNCO of the Forest Committee.

The main topic of the consultation was the organization of the activities of the forest fire fighting working group established by the Prime Minister’s decision and their proper implementation.

Issues related to monitoring of possible forest fire situations, prevention of fires and assessment of necessary capacities, quick response, fighting against fires, measures aimed at preventing the spread of their consequences were discussed.

The current works (afforestation, reforestation) and existing problems were also discussed with forestry employees, and possible solutions were proposed.

In order to prevent the risks of fires due to high temperature and to avoid unforeseen consequences, it was ordered to carry out enhanced surveillance and strictly observe the fire prevention rules.
