Chairman of the Forestry Committee Vladimir Kirakosyan, director of “Hayantar” SNCO, Sevak Markosyan and adviser to the director of SNCO, Vigen Chilingaryan today met with Lori Marz Governor, Aram Khachatryan. The main topic of the meeting referred to the organization of the work of the forest fire fighting working group created by the decision of the Prime Minister and their follow-up. Issues related to monitoring of possible forest fire situations, prevention of fires and assessment of necessary capacities, quick response, fighting against fires, measures aimed at preventing the spread of their consequences were discussed.

During the discussion, the Ministry of Internal Affairs-Agriculture-Population cooperation was highlighted, which plays a significant role in emergency situations.

Vladimir Kirakosyan also presented the changes made in the decision No. 684-N of 2013 “On approving the norms of costs for the protection, protection, restoration and afforestation of state forests, the implementation of individual works”, which will enter into force on January 1, 2024, according to which the cost norms for the protection, protection, restoration and afforestation of state forests, as well as the implementation of individual works, were increased.

Lori Marz Governor Aram Khachatryan emphasized the importance of these changes, which solve a necessary social problem for the population of the region, and assured that appropriate awareness will be provided in the communities. He also highlighted the nature of operational work with the Forestry Committee and expressed hope that they will be continuous.
