Vahram Sedrakyan, Simon Petrosyan, the director’s adviser Armen Danielyan and Karen Hovhannisyan, chief specialist of the international department of the Ministry of Environment, also participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, the topics of forest management planning system, adaptation of forests to climate change, afforestation planning, implementation and management were discussed.
On August 29, the mentioned delegation, led by the Deputy Minister of Environment Aram Meimaryan and the director of “Hayantar” SNCO, visited the “Hrazdan Forestry” branch and got acquainted with the seedlings grown in greenhouses and the methods of cultivation. They visited the Tsaghkadzor Forest State, got acquainted with the current state of the forests, and presented the works to be done. They also visited the juniper area of Arzakan and Meghradzor BHPT of Arzakan Forest State, as well as plantations established in 2017 in Arzakan Forest State.
