The regular session of the Interagency Coordination Council for the Implementation of the Requirements and Provisions of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement was held
Under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan, the regular session of the interdepartmental coordination council for the implementation of the requirements and provisions of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement was held.
During the session, the importance of the format of the interdepartmental coordination council was emphasized in relation to the commitments undertaken by Armenia under the framework convention “On Climate Change” and the Paris Agreement and the 2021-2030. in order to ensure the effective implementation of the commitments set at the National level under the Paris Agreement, in ensuring the necessary interaction between various departments.
During the session, a number of important issues stemming from the activities of the Council and the interdepartmental working groups operating within its framework, as well as the commitments undertaken by RA under the Paris Agreement, including the atmospheric air monitoring system, the development of renewable energy, energy-efficient housing construction and other directions, became the subject of discussion.
